Release Coordinators

In order to tackle with the development of Probitis core business, we are permanently seeking Release Coordinators for several customers in the Utilities, Financial, Industry and Telecommunications markets.

Job description

The release coordinator is the interface between Application development and Operations. He is responsible that the applications going into acceptance and production are easy to operate. The release coordinator, in coordination with the different development teams, elaborates the release schedules and defines a macro planning. He is member of the Release board and in that role makes sure that the software complies with certain quality standards. These standards include:

1. Ensuring the necessary documentation is available so the operations can operate these applications ;
2. Ensuring that sufficient testing was done and verifying that non compliance issues are resolved before going to production ;
3. Ensuring the operability requirements are met. He assists in further developing and improving the release management process he is responsible. The ideal candidate is pragmatic and convincing. A software development background is an asset. He is used to working in large organisations.

Required soft skills

• Must have a Degree in a Computer Science or closely related field, or equivalent by experience;
• Openness and honesty is your Modus Vivendi;
• Fluent in English and Dutch or/and French;
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision;
• Ability to work well alone or/and within a (existing) team environment;
• Very good communication skills, able to understand the client/business needs and interact with the Business as well as IT people;
• Organisational skills, stress resistant.
