Configuration Managers
In order to tackle with the development of Probitis core business, we are permanently seeking Configuration Managers for several customers in the Utilities, Financial, Industry and Telecommunications markets.
Job description
The Configuration Manager is the key individual in a project's/application's configuration management process. The Configuration Manager's role starts with the development of a Configuration Management plan for the project/application and the establishment of a procedure that details each step in the process. She/he has to set up the project/application workspaces in a manner compatible with the project's size and resources and establish the project's/application's Change Request tracking system. After these procedures and resources are in place, the Configuration Manager manages and operates the Configuration Management System.
Required technical skills
- Experience in Dimensions (PVCS), Rational, or another soft ware configuration management tool;
- Use to work following standards and methodologies (PMI, Prince2, ITIL, etc.);
- Have a broad view of IT in applications and operations environments;
- Have a technical specificity such as Infrastructure, Testing, Mainframe, JAVA, ERP, etc.
Required soft skills
- Must have a Degree in a Computer Science or closely related field, or equivalent by experience;
- Openness and honesty is your Modus Vivendi;
- Fluent in English and Dutch or/and French;
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work well alone or/and within a (existing) team environment;
- Very good communication skills, able to understand the client/business needs and interact with the Business as well as IT people;
- Organisational skills, stress resistant.
