As Program manager you will translate business priorities into managable projects. You create a governance model and guarantee that your projects are delivered according to a set of common quality standards. You make sure projects are all delivered in a similar way, with a common methodology. You coordinate the projects by effectevily managing dependencies. You will take care of macroplanning and budgetting. Your natural leadership makes sure you create business buy in and help in the prioritisation of business requests.
Infrastructure Project Manager
You will function as a project manager infrastructure in very large IT-environments. The infrastructure projects are often optimizations in state-of-the-art datacenters in multinational environments. As project manager infrastructure you manage different resources with different technical capabilities (SAN/Wintel/UNIX/…) which work in virtual teams. Projects vary in scope and subject :- The consolidation of existing server-infrastructure
- Migration of servers, networks and data centers
You will act as project manager for one or more development projects. You will manage a team of analysts and/or developers in your expertise area (.NET/Sharepoint/J2EE, ...). Apart from your obvious project management skills, you have knowledge of a agile programming (SCRUM, ...) and design techniques.
The service delivery manager represents the business towards ICT. You have the ability to create a relation of confidence with business people. You effectevily translate the complexity of business issues to ICT. You assist in developing roadmaps with your customer. You develop Service Level Agreements that are understandable by the business and feasible by IT. You report on a monthly basis on the quality of the delivered services. In case of large incidents, you manage the resolution.
As a technical writer, you will be involved in our outsourcing offering "manage operational documentation". You will coordinate and meet with project teams, to get relevant operational information. You will document this information in an operational handbook. This documentation will be used during the release management process and by the operations departement, as an aid for incident and problem management, job scheduling, monitoring, ... You don't need to have an IT background, but an interest in IT and large complex systems and topology is a must.
